Mac OS X Leopard (version 10.5) is the sixth major release of macOS, Apple's desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. Leopard was released on October 26, 2007 as the successor of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, and is available in two editions: a desktop version suitable for personal computers, and a server version, Mac OS X Server. It retailed for $129[2] for the desktop version and $499 for Server.[8] Leopard was superseded by Snow Leopard (version 10.6) in 2009. Leopard is the final version of macOS to support the PowerPC architecture as Snow Leopard functions solely on Intel based Macs.

Standalone Updates enable you to apply updates to Mac OS X in lieu of using Software Update. They are downloaded to your Mac and installed by mounting the associated disk image and launching the Installer package therein.

According to everyman.com, here is a list of all eMacs. OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and/or OS X 10.5 (Leopard) should be compatible with your eMac. You could try buying an used DVD or burn a DVD from am ISO download. For example, there is this ISO download of Leopard (which I have not verified). If successful, the you should install the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update.

If Leopard will not install, then try Tiger. For example, there is this ISO download of Tiger (which I have not verified). If successful, the you should install the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PPC).

We are unble to download Sophos to one of our MAC's. We are currently using version 10.4.11 MAC OS X on this particular MAC- I am trying to download -us/products/free-tools/sophos-antivirus-for-mac-home-edition/download.aspx .

I don't have 10.4 so I can't test this for you. The Sophos site says SAV 8 is compatible with 10.4 (Tiger). Out of interest can you open Terminal, change directory to the folder you downloaded the file to (maybe cd /Downloads ) and they type:

When Apple released 10.8 they introduced a requirement on a new installer package format that is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.4. So either we have a package that works for 10.4 but doesn't work with 10.8, or we have a package that works with 10.5+. We went with the second option.

someone knows how to automate the downloads and uploads on mac, every day they send me photos at different times and I return them the same at different times, I want to save time to check update of m... 350c69d7ab
